PHILADELPHIA – Jefferson Vice President of Athletics Tom Shirley announced Friday that Kyle Colliluori has been named the next Jefferson Men's and Women's Tennis head coach.
"We look forward to adding Kyle to the department to head our men's and women's tennis programs," said Shirley. "His decade-plus experience in tennis training and coaching will help guide our male and female student-athletes moving forward."
Colliluori has worked at Legacy Youth Tennis and Education down the street from campus since 2017 as the lead pro. There he manages a team of coaches while building athletic foundations in athletes from the ages of 8 to 13 years old.
Prior to Legacy, Colliluori worked at Centercourt Athletic Club of Chatham, located in Chatham, N.J. as a head coach and lead travel coach. At Centercourt, he worked with some of the top-ranked juniors in the country as he developed and mentored elite athletes. He also represented the training center at sectional, national and international tournaments.
Colliluori worked at Kinetix Sports Club in Fairview Village, Pa. from 2006-14 as a tennis professional before his time at Centercourt. He coordinated USTA Junior Team Tennis matches and weekly practices at Kinetix while also running adult practices and clinics. He was responsible for booking and scheduling lessons, clinics and USTA matches as he taught strategies, techniques and tactics in private settings.
Colliluori was a top-ranked junior in Middle States before playing tennis at Bloomsburg University. After collegiate tennis, Colliluori actively competed in Middle States, achieving a ranking of No. 2 in Men's Open while also competing on the USTA Futures circuit.
