MUHLENBERG, Pa. – The Philadelphia University men's track team had a solid day at the Muhlenberg Invitational on Saturday.
In the 51-runner 1,500-meter run, the Rams placed three runners in the top six positions. Eric Lacy (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield) finished in the runner-up spot with a time of 4 minutes, 04.87 seconds. Jim McShane (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic) had a fourth-place time of 4:06.45, while Tim Malloy (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield) took the sixth position with a time of 4:08.28.
Tyler Dye (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic) crossed the finish line in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 9:51.73 to take third place.
Zac Garman (Monroe, Mich./Monroe) finished second in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 16:11.32. Franklin Overstreet (Magnolia, N.J./Sterling) stopped the clock in 17:03.93 to finish 10th.
Dye, Malloy, McShane, and Lacy teamed up to take second in the 4x800 meter relay with a time of 8:17.60.
The Rams will go back to West Chester to compete in the West Chester Open on Saturday, April 13.
