Men and Women's Cross Country to Compete in the Osprey Open

Galloway, N.J. – The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) men and women's cross country teams will continue their season this Saturday, Sept. 23 in the Osprey Open at Stockton University in Galloway, N.J. The women starting at 10 a.m. and the men at 11 a.m.

Last Weekend at the Delaware Invitational
Last Saturday at the Delaware Invitational, Jefferson Ram Milan Duka, won his second-straight meet, taking first place with a mile pace of 5:26.8 in the 8-kilometer event. Sergei Cendo, of the Rams, finished second for the Rams and seventh overall with a pace of 5:39.1 per mile. Overall the Rams finished third in the 10-team invitational.

Freshman Jasmine Buckridge, a two-time CACC Rookie of the Week winner this year, was the top Jefferson finisher for the women's team, coming in 17th place overall with a mile pace of 6:46.4.  Sophomore Erin Young, finished 20th with a pace of 6:50.2. Overall the women's team finished second in the 11-team event.

The men and women's cross country continue their season next Friday, Sept. 29 at the Paul Short Run at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa. The men start at 1:30 p.m. and the women follow at 2:30 p.m.
