BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) men's cross country team finished up at Lehigh University's 2017 Paul Short Run on Friday afternoon at the Goodman Campus Course. The men placed 11th in the 36-team, 283-competitor, eight-kilometer Paul Short College Men White Race.
Graduate student Milan Duka continued his strong season with a third-place overall showing, crossing with a time of 25:53 for a mile pace of 5:13. Wentworth senior Alex Robbins won the event with a time of 25:39 while Franklin Pierce freshman Hugo Arlabosse grabbed second at 25:48. It marked the first time that Duka finished out of the top two in 2017.
Junior Ethan Fadale placed second on the Rams with a time of 26:23 for a 5:19 pace.
Fellow junior Sergei Cendo crossed with a time of 26:51 (5:25 pace) to finished 40th overall and third for Jefferson.
Freshman Ben Nardi finished with a time of 28:08, averaging a mile pace of 5:40, to place 115th individually.
Senior Jake Wong crossed short after at 28:12 for a pace of 5:41, good for 124th in the event.
Sophomore Valmar Wilson came in 140th at 28:32 (5:45 pace).
Fellow sophomore Greg Dawson placed seventh on the Rams with a time of 29:15 for a 5:54 mile pace.
