BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Jefferson cross country teams had runners compete at an optional event on Friday afternoon. Running in the Bryn Athyn Invitational, the Rams had five members from the men's team and four from the women's squad race.
MEN – 8K – 4TH OF 7
Junior Shane Fleming posted the top time for the men, coming in 13th overall in the 45-competitior event with a time of 30:50.5 for a pace of 6:12.2.
Sophomore Charles Griffin finished second on the Rams and 16th overall with a time of 31:49.2 (6:24.0 pace).
Senior Saadeddine Traboulsi placed 21st overall with a time of 32:59.8 (6:38.2 pace).
Sophomore Charles Barilo posted a time of 34:28.4 for a pace of 6:56.1 to finish 28th overall.
Senior Alec Fixl rounded out the top five for Jefferson, crossing the finish with a time of 37:18.5 for a pace of 7:30.3 in the eight-kilometer event.
WOMEN – 6K – AS INDIVIDUALS
Jefferson ran four women at the Bryn Athyn Invitational on Friday.
Junior Gypsy Blue Cooper placed sixth overall with a time of 26:12.7 for a pace of 7:01.8 in the 38-runner event.
Fellow junior Maria Santangelo came in 11th overall with a time of 28:21.5 (7:36.3 pace).
Freshman Marley Stackonis crossed the finish with a time of 31:15.2 while junior Victoria Hochuli came in at 32:14.5.
Jefferson Cross Country returns to action on Friday, Oct. 20 at the Haverford College Invitational before the CACC Championship on Sunday, Oct. 22 from White Clay Creek Park in Delaware.
