NEWARK, Del. – Junior pitcher Stephanie Pepper of the Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) softball team was named to the 2018 Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) Softball All-East Region Second Team when the news was announced on Monday, May 14. The news was released by the DII Conference Commissioner's Association softball east regional coordinator.

A 2018 All-CACC First Team selection, Pepper finished the season with an 11-8 record and one save after making 23 appearances with 18 starts. The junior pitched 141.2 innings and finished second in the conference with 165 strikeouts. Her 2.12 earned run average was second in the league among qualified pitchers. The Toms River, New Jersey native had five double-digit strikeout performances on the year with a season-high of 12 twice against Bridgeport on March 15 and Bloomfield on April 6. The junior tallied 17 complete games, sixth most in the conference. Her complete games included a 12.0-inning effort against Dominican on the last day of the regular season as she hit the go-ahead three-run home run to break the game open in the 12th inning. She earned five weekly honors from the CACC this spring. Pepper was named to the CACC Weekly Honor Roll on March 19, April 2 and April 30 before being named the CACC Pitcher of the Week in back-to-back weeks on April 9 and April 16.
