BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) softball team (6-14) suffered a pair of losses at Bloomsburg (9-10) on Tuesday. The Huskies won game one, 6-0 and took the second contest, 9-0 in five innings.
GAME ONE – L, 6-0
Bloomsburg struck for two runs in the opening inning on a single and a passed ball. The Rams did not allow a baserunner over the next three innings but the Huskies broke through for four runs in the fifth. Three of Bloomsburg's runs in the contest were unearned. The Huskies held the Jefferson offense to two hits in the victory.
GAME TWO – L, 9-0 (5 inn.)
Bloomsburg was consistently effective, recording three runs in each of the first three frames. The Huskies continued to baffle the Rams' hitters, conceding just one hit and allowing two baserunners overall. The game ended after five innings due to the eight-run rule.
