Three Softball Players Receive All-CACC Honors

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Three Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) softball players were chosen to the All-CACC Team on Tuesday. The news was announced by the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.

Senior Stephanie Pepper garnered first team honors while junior Emily Williams and senior Naomi Stas were members of the All-CACC second team.

STEPHANIE PEPPER – ALL-CACC FIRST TEAM
It is the third consecutive All-Conference honor for Pepper and second straight first team nod. She was a member of the All-CACC second team in 2017. The senior is 11-8 this season with a 3.19 ERA. She has also recorded two saves. Pepper has recorded 145 strikeouts in 123.0 innings and has tossed 10 complete games. She has an impressive 5.2 strikeout-to-walk ratio, having given a free pass to just 28 hitters.

Pepper ranks first in the CACC in strikeouts, tied for eighth in wins, 12th in innings pitched, tied for 13th in complete games and 15th in ERA. She has posted a season-high of 11 strikeouts twice this year. Pepper was named CACC Co-Pitcher of the Week on April 2 and has been a three-time member of the weekly honor roll.

EMILY WILLIAMS – ALL-CACC SECOND TEAM
A first-time All-CACC honoree, Williams is fourth on the Rams with a .348 batting average (16-for-46). She has tallied four doubles, three home runs, 13 RBI and five runs in 24 games with an OPS of 1.066. The junior has three multi-hit games this season. Williams was selected to the CACC Honor Roll on April 2 after going 5-for-10 with a double, two home runs, eight RBI and two runs in a pair of doubleheader sweeps over Goldey-Beacom and Caldwell. She has made just one error at third base in 39 chances for a .974 fielding percentage.

NAOMI STAS – ALL-CACC SECOND TEAM
This is the second All-CACC nod for Stas after she earned first team distinction in 2017. She is batting .316 (37-for-117) with four doubles, two triples, 18 RBI and 15 runs. Stas has totaled nine multi-hit games. In the pitching circle, she has five victories and a 4.40 ERA. The senior has thrown nine complete games with 61 strikeouts in 117.2 innings.
