Women’s Basketball Doubles Up Concordia for Conference Win, 85-42

PHILADELPHIA – The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) women's basketball team (16-2, 9-1 CACC) took down the Concordia Clippers (2-17, 2-8 CACC) by a final of 85-42 in a conference matchup from the Gallagher Center on Sunday afternoon.

The win comes as the fourth straight for the Rams with victories in 10 of their last 11 games.

Redshirt junior Jessica Kaminski scored a team-high 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting with 10 rebounds and seven assists.

Redshirt sophomore Alynna Williams notched 13 points on 5-of-9 shooting with two made three-pointers.

Redshirt junior Erin Maher accounted for 10 points on 4-of-5 from the floor.

The Rams got 32 points from the bench and were led by sophomore Alexandra Warren with eight followed by freshman Caroline Duffy with seven.

In total, 11 Rams made a field goal in the victory.

Jefferson shot 45.1% from the floor as a squad behind 32-of-71 shooting with 22 assists on those 32 made shots.

The Rams held a 46-19 lead at halftime after holding the Clippers to eight points in the first and 11 in the second.

Jefferson then held Concordia to just two third quarter points to take a 70-21 advantage into the fourth quarter. Two points were the lowest allowed by the Rams in any quarter on the season.

The Rams led the contest wire-to-wire to improve to 9-1 in conference play.

Jefferson Women's Basketball returns to action at Chestnut Hill on Wednesday, Jan. 24 at 6 p.m.
