Kaminski Earns D2CCA All-East Region First Team Honors

PHILADELPHIA – Senior Jessica Kaminski of the Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) women's basketball team was named to the All-East Region first team by the D2 Conference Commissioners Association this week.

The CACC Player and Defensive Player of the Year and All-CACC first team selection, Kaminski ranks second in the conference in scoring (16.8 ppg), rebounding (8.2 rpg) and field goal percentage (54.1%), fifth in assists (3.9 apg) and sixth in assist/turnover ratio (1.8). Kaminski averages 1.5 steals per game, which is second on the team. The senior has posted seven double-doubles during the campaign and has scored in double figures in 28 of 31 games. She has highs of 27 points, 15 rebounds and eight assists.

Kaminski helped lead the Rams to their third CACC Championship and was named the CACC Tournament's Most Valuable Player and to the All-Tournament Team. She was named CACC Player of the Week three times, Defensive Player of the Week three times and to the weekly honor roll five times. The two-time All-CACC selection registered her 1,000th career point versus NYIT on November 14 and will go down as one of the greatest players in program history, ranking in the all-time top-10 in points, rebounds, assists and steals. Kaminski is the program's third CACC Player of the Year (Bria Young, 2015-16; Christine Wooding, 2011-12).
