Women’s Lacrosse Defeats Felician, 10-0, as Ryder Reaches 100 Career Points

PHILADELPHIA – The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) women's lacrosse team (8-7, 7-1 CACC) defeated the Felician Golden Falcons (0-12, 0-8 CACC) on Thursday afternoon from Ravenhill Field. Senior Samantha Ryder recorded her 100th career point in the win.

The win guarantees the Rams the No. 2 seed in the CACC Championship, earning them a first-round bye.

Though the game was quick, Jefferson was able to score 10 goals in the opening 4:02 minutes before the game was called.

Ryder recorded one goal, three assists and won three draw controls in the victory. She grabbed her 100th career point on an assist with 27:27 on the clock.

Fellow senior Kathryn Avanzato also had one goal and three assists in the effort.

Sophomore Sarah von Lange notched two goals and won five draw controls.

Junior Chanel D'Angelo scored her first career goal (and point) in the win at 27:11 on the clock while senior Liz Wissmann accounted for her first goal of the season and the fourth of her career.

Junior Laura Dunne scored one goal and dished an assist as she stands at 148 career points. Freshman Camryn Sullivan scored a goal as she kept her streak alive to have points in all 15 games in her first season with the Rams.

Freshman Lauren Najarian and sophomore Anabelle DiStefano also scored goals in the win.

Sophomore Victoria Raimondi (W, 8-5) made one save on the day on her only shot faced.

Jefferson Women's Lacrosse returns to action for their regular-season finale on the road at Post in Waterbury, Conn. on Sunday, April 21 at 1 p.m.
