Women's Lacrosse Dominates Nyack

NYACK, N.Y. – The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) women's lacrosse team (8-4, 7-0 CACC) coasted to a 21-3 victory at Nyack (5-11, 3-5 CACC) on Wednesday. It was the Rams' fourth straight win.

GAMEPLAY
The score was 1-1 after each team scored within nine seconds of each other at 25:17 and 25:08. Jefferson then netted four consecutive goals for a 5-1 advantage at the 19:10 mark. The Warriors closed the gap to three at 17:52. Junior Sarah von Lange then kicked off an 8-0 run to end the half with her 100th career tally at 17:07. She scored three times during the stretch and sophomore Camryn Sullivan recorded a pair of goals. Von Lange also posted her 100th ground ball in the contest.

The Rams outscored Nyack, 8-1 in the second half. Sophomore Lexi Patania and Sullivan each scored twice in the period. Sophomore Erin Campbell picked up her 100th career draw control at the 20:04 mark. Jefferson had a 25-16 edge in ground balls, 16-10 in draw controls and 35-10 in shots.

CACC PLAYOFF PICTURE
The Rams have clinched at least the second seed in the CACC Tournament and will receive a bye to the semifinals. They are currently tied with Georgian Court for first place in the conference. Wilmington (Del.) has also secured a playoff berth while all other teams are still in contention with up to three games remaining in the regular season.
