PHILADELPHIA – The Thomas Jefferson University women's lacrosse team released its 2020 schedule on Thursday. The slate includes 16 games with six being played at Ravenhill Field.
The Rams kick off the campaign at Seton Hill on February 23. The Griffins competed in the NCAA Tournament in 2019. After traveling to Kutztown (February 28), Jefferson visits its other opponent that advanced to the NCAA playoffs a year ago, Mercy (March 4). The Mavericks are the defending East Coast Conference champions.
The home and conference opener is set for March 7 as the Rams host Holy Family. Jefferson then takes on Bridgeport at the US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Maryland on March 11. A rematch of the 2019 CACC Championship Game pits the Rams against Georgian Court at home on April 15. The regular season closes versus Nyack at Ravenhill Field on April 18.
The top six teams in the CACC standings qualify for the conference tournament. The top two teams receive a bye and the remaining four teams compete in the first round at campus sites on April 28. The semifinals and final will take place on May 1-2 during the CACC Championship Festival at Georgian Court.
George Chis-Luca will lead the Rams for the 12th season. Last year, Jefferson finished 10-6 and advanced to the CACC Championship Game.
Dates, times and opponents are subject to change. Any updates will be posted on the women's lacrosse schedule page.
