Leah Albert joined the women's basketball coaching staff prior to the 2021-22 season.
Albert has had head coaching stints at Penncrest, Upper Merion, and Rustin High Schools as well as Episcopal Academy. She has also served as an assistant coach at Valley Forge Military College.
A two-time CACC Player of the Year, Albert had a successful playing career at USciences, under her maiden name Shumoski, from 2002-06. She was named to the All-CACC First Team three times. In addition, she earned All-Region honors in 2005 and 2006. Albert was named the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Performer of the Year for 2005-06. During her tenure, the Devils captured two CACC titles and made two NCAA Tournament appearances. At the conclusion of her career, Albert was the Devils' all-time leading scorer with 1,924 points and the only player in program history to record 1,500 or more points while pulling down 1,000 or more rebounds. She was inducted into the USciences Athletics Hall of Fame in 2015.
Albert received her doctor of pharmacy degree from USciences in 2007.
