PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia University women's rowing team took the waters of the Schuylkill River to compete in the Kerr Cup on Saturday.
The Rams' Novice Four boat reached the grand final with a third-place finish in heat two with a time of 8:30.14. In the grand final, Philadelphia put up a time of 8:43.66 to come in sixth place. Temple won the race with a time of 7:58.31.
In the Varsity Eight event, Philadelphia qualified for the petite final after coming the fifth in the first half. The Rams went on to take third in the petite final with a time of 7:27.01. Rochester was the event winner after finishing the course in 7:23.44.
Philadelphia was fourth in the Varsity Pair with a time of 9:01.81 and fourth in the Varsity Four with a 7:57.14.
Philadelphia returns to the Schuylkill to race in the Kelly Cup on Saturday, April 25.
