Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University women's soccer team (6-6-3, 5-0-2 CACC) got a huge 1-0 win over CACC foe the Holy Family University Tigers (5-8-2, 4-1-2 CACC) on Wednesday afternoon to keep their undefeated conference record alive.  The win was the fourth straight for the Lady Rams, who currently are ranked third in the CACC, just ahead of the Tigers.

One goal was all it took for Phila U., as sophomore Sara Redka (Williamsport, PA/ Williamsport) scored the game-winner just 15 minutes into regulation to give the Lady Rams a 1-0 boost.  Redka scored off a touch by sophomore Natalie Vespe (Acto, NJ/ St. Joseph), who got the ball off a long throw-in from senior Kelly Davis (Northfield, NJ/ Mainland).  The score was Redka's second-straight game-winning goal, as she netted the winner vs. Dominican on Saturday, October 11th.

The Lady Rams held off a Tiger offensive late in the second period, as senior goalie Sara Hall (Wilmington, DE/ Wilmington Charter) made a diving save with 13 seconds left that could have cost Phila U. the lead.  The Lady Rams outshot the Tigers 16-10.

Hall had six saves in goal for Phila U., while HFU keeper Michelle Giambrone had six for the Tigers.

The Lady Rams will travel to Caldwell College on Saturday, October 18th for their next match at 12:00 p.m.
