Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University women's soccer team (0-4) was held scoreless in a 4-0 loss to the C.W. Post University Pioneers (3-0) in a non-conference game on Sunday afternoon.  Senior goalie Sara Hall (Newark, DE/ Charter School of Wilmington) had 13 saves for the Lady Rams.

Phila U. opened up the match firing, as senior midfielder Stephanie Filmyer (Harleysville, PA/ Souderton) took a hard shot at the 37:00 mark from 20 yards out that went just wide for the Lady Rams.

Phila U. missed another opportunity with just seven minutes left in the first period as the Pioneer goalie came out of goal but the Lady Rams could not convert as a C. W. field player blocked a shot.  At halftime the match was 0-0.

Junior defender Alyssa Kline (Southampton, NJ/ Holy Cross) came up big to start the second period making a defensive save on a close shot by the Pioneers.  The Pioneers then went on a 4-0 run in the final 25 minutes scoring their first goal on an open net by Ivana Babic, who scored again five minutes later.

The Pioneers added two more to walk away with the 4-0 win.

The Lady Rams will host Felician University on Saturday, September 13th at 12:00 p.m.
