Women’s soccer plays to 0-0 tie with C.W. Post

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – The Philadelphia University women's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to 14 straight games after playing to a 0-0 draw against host C.W. Post in a non-conference match Tuesday afternoon.

The Rams, who are sixth in the most recent National Soccer Coaches Association of America East Region poll, are now 13-1-2 overall. Philadelphia had won its last 10 matches. C.W. Post is now 7-4-1.

Philadelphia's Kelly Kowalewski made five saves in the contest, including one with just two seconds left in regulation. The Pioneers' Allie Weiser also stopped five shots. She preserved the tie by making a save with 91 seconds remaining in the second overtime. 

C.W. Post owned a 10-8 shot advantage and a 5-2 edge in corner kicks.

Philadelphia returns home to close out its Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) slate against Bloomfield College Saturday, Oct. 22 at 2:30 p.m. The Rams have already secured the top shot for the upcoming CACC championship tournament.
