Women’s soccer shutout by Georgian Court

LAKEWOOD, N.J. – The Philadelphia University women's soccer suffered a 2-0 setback to host Georgian Court in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match Wednesday afternoon on Investors Savings Bank Field.

Georgian Court (2-2-0, 2-0-0 CACC) substitute Amanda Astudillo entered the contest in the 25th minute and made her impact known two minutes later with the match's first goal. She scored on a crossing pass from Morgan Peacock that deflected off of teammate Tayler Bramley.

The scored remained 1-0 until the 65th minute when Bramley got herself in the goal column as she followed up on her initial shot off of a corner kick and scored on the rebound.

The Rams' (1-2-1, 1-1-1) Erin Tinneny (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) stopped three of the four shots on goal she face in the opening 58:15. Deanna Messner (Willow Grove, Pa./Archbishop Wood) played the final 31:45 and also made three saves.

Georgian Court's Natalie Axelsson turned aside three shots to record the shutout.
