CALDWELL, N.J. – The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) women's soccer team (3-2, 2-0 CACC) moved to 2-0 in conference play with a CACC road victory over the Caldwell Cougars (2-3, 1-1, CACC) on Friday.
Freshman Sarah Patrignani netted her first collegiate goal in the victory in the 33rd minute, near the end of the first half. Sophomore Erin Sullivan was credited with her first collegiate assist on the play when she fed the ball up the sideline before Patrignani chipped it past the Cougar keeper.
Junior keeper Erin Tinneny earned her third career shutout and first since she was a freshman. Tinneny made two saves, both coming in the opening 45 minutes, as the defense limited the Cougars in the second half.
Shots were selective in the Friday affair as the two teams combined for 10; Jefferson with the 7-3 edge. The Rams also earned the only two corner kicks.
The Rams are back home on Wednesday, Sept. 20 against Georgian Court at 4 p.m. from Ravenhill Field.
