Erick's Early Goal Sparks Third Consecutive Win for Women's Soccer

LAFAYETTE HILL, Pa. – The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) women's soccer team (3-3, 3-0 CACC) upped its win streak to three games with a 3-1 victory at Chestnut Hill (2-5, 0-4 CACC) on Tuesday night.

GAMEPLAY
Freshman Laurel Erick got the Rams started early with an unassisted goal in the seventh minute. Jefferson continued to dominate the Griffins in the first half, outshooting them 20-2. Sophomore Jacque Thornton made the score 2-0 in the 18th minute when she poked in a loose ball off a corner kick.

The Rams went up 3-0 on freshman Devin Sullivan's first collegiate goal in the 41st minute. Senior Dena Noiseux and sophomore Kelsey Butler picked up assists on the tally.

Chestnut Hill kept Jefferson off of the scoreboard in the second half and ended the shutout bid in the final minute.

Graduate student Erin Tinneny stopped two shots in 79 minutes of action and freshman Allie Bone played the last 11 minutes.
- Jefferson had a shutout streak of 189:58, spanning over three games, before the Griffins' goal.
- The Rams are tied for first place in the CACC with Holy Family as the only 3-0 teams.
