Philadelphia, PA- Philadelphia University is proud to announce the unveiling of the      Abraham J. Salaman '58 Tennis Courts, home to the men's and women's tennis teams.  The Courts were officially dedicated on Tuesday, September 23rd in a ceremony honoring the donors who have supported resurfacing the six tennis courts.

A strong supporter of Philadelphia University athletics, Abe Salaman '58 was the lead donor in supporting the tennis court renovations.  He was joined by his wife Thelma and their family as University President Dr. Stephen Spinelli Jr. thanked Mr. Salaman for his contribution to the campus community. 

Salaman was a member of the Phila U. men's basketball team from 1954-58, playing under Coach Bucky Harris.  During his tenure as a Ram, Salaman played on the first Textile/Phila U. team to ever appear in the NCAA Tournament ('58).  The team also won the Delaware Valley Conference (DVC) all four years of Salaman's collegiate career.
