Women’s 4x400 comes in 11th at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia University women's 4x400-meter relay team came in 11th in the Collegiate Track Conference race at the Penn Relays Thursday night.

The team of Jessica Thies (Reading, Pa./Schuylkill Valley), Emilie Barton (Sterling, Ill./Newman Central Catholic), Chelsey Love (Crooksville, Ohio/Crooksville), and Caitlin Vanleer (Ivyland, Pa./Villa Joseph  Marie) completed the relay in a time of 4:31.15—the team's fastest time this season.

It is the Rams' second-best time in their three Penn Relay races.

New Haven won the race in an event-record time of 3:49.01.

Philadelphia will complete its 2014 season at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship on Sunday, May 4 at Georgian Court.
