Women's Volleyball sweeps USciences, 3-0

PHILADELPHIA - Outside hitter Courtney Wensel (Bechtelsville, Pa./Berks Catholic) recorded 12 kills, 12 digs and two services aces to lead the Philadelphia University women's volleyball team to a 3-0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-17) Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) sweep over host USciences Friday night in Bobby Morgan Arena.

With the win, Philadelphia picked up its eighth straight win improving to 20-4 overall and 12-1 in the CACC. USciences falls to 5-13 overall, 4-11 in conference play.

Mariah Cadzow (Mountville, Pa./Hempfield) added 11 kills with three digs, while Lauren Laucella (Horsham, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) had seven kills. Alexandra Harrington (St. Leonard, Md./Huntingtown) contributed 39 assists and four digs.

Sarah Miller lead UScienes with six kills, while Maghan Neff added 13 assists.

Philadelphia welcomes Dominican (N.Y.) to the Gallagher Center for senior day on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 12 p.m.
