PHILADELPHIA – The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) volleyball team (13-6, 8-1 CACC) turned in another conference sweep on Saturday afternoon over the Felician Golden Falcons (2-12, 1-8 CACC) on Homecoming Weekend from the Gallagher Center, 25-18, 25-13, 25-20.
Junior Courtney Wensel notched her 10th double-double with a match-high 14 kills and a match-high 20 digs. She hit .263 on the afternoon.
Freshman Logan Dontell recorded 16 kills with a .438 hitting percentage in the victory.
Senior Corinne Justus hit .500 on the day with eight kills on 14 attempts with just one error.
The Rams pulled away in the first set with a five-point run to make it 15-9. A six-point run took it up to 22-13 before winning the set.
Jefferson led 13-6 in the second set before an eight-point stretch made it 22-7 in favor of the Rams.
The Golden Falcons made a late run in the third set to get within four points at 23-19 before Jefferson closed it out for the win.
Jefferson Volleyball now hosts Concordia in a CACC matchup on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 6 p.m. from the Gallagher Center.
