Volleyball Tabbed to Finish First in CACC South Division Preseason Poll

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) volleyball team, led by first-year head coach Latifa Raheem, was picked to finish first in the 2018 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Volleyball South Division Preseason Poll. The news was announced by the CACC on Thursday morning.

In the coaches' poll, the Rams grabbed 90 points and eight first-place votes to sit atop the CACC South Division. With 14 schools, the volleyball teams are split into two-seven team divisions. Caldwell was picked to win the CACC North.

Last season, the Rams went 26-7 including 18-1 in conference before falling in the CACC Championship to Caldwell.

The women begin the 2018 season on the road Friday, Sept. 1 at the New York Tech Tip-Off.
