Volleyball Wins 20th of Season, Ninth Straight With Road Sweep of Lincoln

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) volleyball team (20-7) swept the Lincoln Lions (1-15) in three sets on the road Friday night, 25-14, 25-10, 25-12.

The win comes as the ninth-straight victory for the Rams and their 20th win of the campaign with five regular-season contests remaining.

QUICK KILLS
-Jefferson used a balanced offensive effort in Friday's win as no Ram had more than six kills while 12 had at least one kill
-Junior Amber Johnson led Jefferson with six kills behind a .625 hitting percentage on eight attacks
-Sophomore Logan Dontell ranked second on the squad with five kills
-Freshman Molly Hand notched a team-high 18 assists and nine digs in the match
-Junior Ariana Rosario led the Rams with three services aces. Dontell, Hand and senior Emily Pilla each recorded two aces while seniors Becca Lutterschmidt and Courtney Wensel each had one.

AS A TEAM
-Jefferson hit .227 in the first set (25-14), .435 in the second (25-10) and .320 in the third (.320)

Jefferson Volleyball returns home tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 20 for Senior Day as the Rams welcome Holy Family for a battle at the top of the CACC South from the Gallagher Center. Action begins at 1 p.m. with the senior ceremony beforehand.
