PHILADELPHIA – Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) Head Coach Dave Thomas and the men's and women's cross country teams are scheduled to compete in eight meets this fall with the foremost coming on the first weekend in September.
Entering his 12th season as the cross country head coach, Thomas and his teams have won 10 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championships including the women's stronghold with four-straight and eight of the last 9.
The Rams begin the fall at the Delaware Valley University Invitational in Doylestown, Pa. on Saturday Sept. 2 (W 10:15 a.m./M 11 a.m.).
From there, Jefferson hosts the Philadelphia Metropolitan Championship at the Belmont Plateau on Saturday, Sept. 9 (W 12:15 p.m./M 1 p.m.).
On Saturday, Sept. 16, the teams compete at the Delaware Invitational hosted by the University of Delaware at White Clay Creek Park before participating at the Osprey Open at Stockton University in New Jersey on Saturday, Sept. 23 (W 10 a.m./M 11 a.m.).
The month of September closes for the men and women on Friday, Sept. 29 at Lehigh University's Paul Short Run (M 1:30 p.m./W 2:30 p.m.).
October brings with the Jefferson-hosted Jack Saint Clair Memorial at the Belmont Plateau on Saturday, Oct. 7 (W 12:15 p.m./M 1:15 p.m.)
Following a bye week, the men and women get back at it on Friday, Oct. 20 at the Haverford College Invitational (W 4:30 p.m./M 5p.m.).
From there, Jefferson competes at the CACC Championship on Sunday, Oct. 28 at White Clay Creek Park in Delaware for the conference championship. The men compete first at 10 a.m. with an 8,000 meter run following by the women's 5,000 meters at 11 a.m.
The NCAA East Region DII Championships are schedule for Saturday, Nov. 4 from Buffalo, N.Y. and after a bye week, the NCAA DII National Championships follow on Saturday, Nov. 18 in Evansville, Ind.
