Women’s Cross Country Wins 11th-Straight Philadelphia Metropolitan Invitational

PHILADELPHIA – The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) women's cross country team won the 2018 Philadelphia Metropolitan Invitational for the 11th-straight year on Saturday afternoon from Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia, Pa.

Junior Erin Young was the top finisher for Jefferson, placing 2nd of 112 with a time of 20:54.7 (5:35.7 pace) in the 5,000 meter race.

Freshman Brittany Gable (10th), sophomore Kali Safer (14th) and junior Meghan Horan (15th) also finished in the top-15 at the event.
