Philadelphia, PA- The
Philadelphia University women's tennis team streaked to seven
straight wins with a 9-0 victory over Post University in Central
Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action at the Abe Salaman
Class of '58 Courts on Wednesday afternoon. The win gives the
Lady Rams a 6-2 overall record, 2-0 in the CACC.
Phila U. flexed their muscles in every position, as #1 sophomore
Adriana Rodriguez (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Colegio
Sagrados Corazones) took a 6-1, 6-0 win over Post's Leah
McQueeney. At #2 singles, sophomore Daniela
Rodriguez (Quito, Ecuador/Colegio Menor) won 6-0, 6-0 and
#3 singles sophomore Stephanie Reinke (St. James,
N.Y./Smithtown) won 6-0, 6-2.
In doubles Rodriguez/Rodriguez blew by McQueeney/Jacovich 8-0,
#2 Reinke and freshman Christina Brzozowski
(Wallingford, CT/ Sacred Heart Academy) won 8-2, and the third
doubles team of freshman Brittney Villa (Logan,
NJ/ Kingsway Regional) and Alex Dunham
(Southampton, NY/Southampton) got an 8-0 victory.
The Lady Rams will host Georgian Court University on Saturday,
September 27th at the Abe Salaman Class of '58 Courts at
12:00 p.m.
