Lady Rams cruise to 9-0 victory over Post

WATERBURY, Conn. – The Philadelphia University women's tennis team won its first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match of the season by a 9-0 count over host Post Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Rams are back over .500 overall with a 4-3 mark, and improve to 1-3 in the CACC. Post is now 0-3 overall and 0-3 against the conference.

Philadelphia opens the match by sweeping all three doubles match by 8-0 scores. The number one team was Isabella Espinosa and Kaylee Fennern. Olivia Amato and Sayre Limburg made up the number two tandem. The No. 3 doubles team was Magill Kurts and Elizabeth Verbits.

In singles action, Fennern, Verbits, Kurts and Alyssa Tullar all won their respective matches 6-0, 6-0. Limburg won the No. 1 flight, 6-0, 6-1, while Amato's victory in the No. 3 match was 6-1, 6-0.

Philadelphia welcomes Georgian Court to the Abraham Salaman Courts for a CACC match on Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 4 p.m.
