WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Philadelphia University women's team was defeated 6-3 by host West Chester in a non-conference match on Thursday afternoon.
The Rams are now 12-7 overall, while the Golden Rams improve to 11-7.
Philadelphia earned one point in doubles play as Sayre Limburg (New London, N.H./Proctor Academy) and Kaylee Fennern (Idaho Falls, Idaho/Bonneville) won the No. 1 match, 8-4 over Brittany Counts and Alison Fetter.
Fennern went on to earn another point for the Rams by knocking off Fetter in the No. 2 singles match, 6-0, 7-5. In No. 4 singles action, Stephanie Miller (Fleetwood, Pa./Fleetwood) was victorious over Jami Dumler, 7-5, 6-4.
Philadelphia travels to Queens (N.Y.) for a non-conference match on Saturday, April 6 at 11 a.m.
