PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia University women's tennis team concluded Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play with a 9-0 loss to visiting Concordia (N.Y.) in a conference match Monday afternoon on the Abraham Salaman Tennis Courts.
Philadelphia is now 7-4 overall, 3-4 against the CACC. Concordia stays undefeated at 8-0 overall, 7-0 in conference play.
The match of the day belonged to Emily Chung (Manhattan Beach, Calif./Mira Costa) and Stefanie Canals-Baker at No. 3 singles, which went to a tiebreak. Canals-Baker took the first set 6-1 and Chung fought back to claim set two 6-2. In the tiebreak, Canals-Baker won the match with a 10-5 victory.
The Rams wrap up the fall with a non-conference match at Cabrini on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 3 p.m.
