JERSEY CITY, N.J. - The Thomas Jefferson University women's basketball team (17-5, 9-3 CACC) rallied in the second half to defeat host Nyack, 70-59, in conference action on Monday night. The Rams upped their season-long win streak to six with the victory.

GAMEPLAY
Jefferson held a slim 7-6 lead in the opening quarter when the Warriors embarked on a 9-0 run to take an eight-point advantage (15-7) with 2:18 on the clock. With the score 17-9, the Rams cut the deficit down to three (17-14) with five straight points to end the period.

In the second, Jefferson trailed 22-16 but
Allie Warren hit back-to-back threes to draw her squad even at 22 apiece with 6:37 left. The teams battled back and forth for the remainder of the frame, with the margin staying within one possession. Nyack drilled a three in the final seconds of the quarter to take a 35-33 halftime lead.

Early in the third, the Warriors clung to a 38-36 advantage. The Rams flipped the script with an 11-2 surge to go ahead by seven (47-40) with 4:37 to go.
Cassie Murphy led the way with seven points. Jefferson increased the margin to nine (53-44) but Nyack had the last four points of the stanza to get within five (53-48) entering the fourth.

The Rams put away any hope of a Warriors comeback, starting the final quarter with nine straight points to up their cushion to 14 (62-48).
Morgan Robinson posted five of the nine points. Nyack was only able to get within 10 (64-54) with 2:18 to play but Jefferson pulled away again with a 6-0 stretch for its largest lead of the night (70-54).
