#10/16 Women's Basketball Wins Fifth Straight Over East Stroudsburg
EAST STROUDSBURG, PA - #10/16 Thomas Jefferson University women's basketball (5-0) held onto their lead, only letting the warriors come within one point twice as they claim their fifth straight win over East Stroudsburg University.
WHAT HAPPENED

The Rams and the Warriors finished the first quarter tied at 14-14. Emily Chmiel played a role earning six of their points, with Izzy Vogel, Brie Droege, and Brooke Droege also making baskets. For the Rams Cassie Murphy collected eight of their points with Emma Kuczynski, Carolyn Sipprell and Tori Nigro putting up points at the end of the quarter.

The Rams opened strong again in the third quarter, Murphy quickly gaining four points, two of them her successful free throw shots. The Warriors cannot regain the lead as Sipprell puts up six points of her own making the score 46-41. Murphy gained another two after making both her free throws again. Vogel and Brie Droege both made their shots assisted by Corrin Gill leaving them two points behind the Rams to end the quarter.

Jessica Polin was able to add three points for the Warriors assisted by Kringe bringing the score to 53-52 only trailing the Rams by one point. Spratt is good for the next five points regaining the lead for Jefferson. Chmiel is good for the layup assisted by Vogel adding two. Chmiel hits her free throws, and Brooke Droege is good for the Jumper bringing the score to 59-58 once again trailing the Rams by one.
