No.11 Women's Soccer Goes to a Draw with Wilmington
PHILADELPHIA – No.11 nationally-ranked Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer (7-1-1, 2-0-1) went up against Wilmington University (5-1-3, 2-0-2) in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on Tuesday afternoon. The Rams and Wildcats had multiple attempts to earn a goal in the contest, but neither squad was able to capitalize as the match ended in a 0-0 draw.
WHAT HAPPENED
- Both offenses went in on the attack as Jefferson had 19 shots compared to Wilmington's 14
- Defense was the name of the game, as each team had the 'bend but don't break' mentality with aggressive play on the ball on each side
- Arianna Myers registered 8 saves while Carly Hayman produced 2 on the day
- This tie snaps the Rams 18-game conference win streak. Jefferson still maintains their conference unbeaten streak, going 24-0-2 now
