Women's Cross Country Secures First Place in Philadelphia Cross Classic

PHILADELPHIA – Thomas Jefferson University women's cross country began their season looking to defend their title from last season in the Philadelphia Cross Classic this Saturday afternoon. The Rams produced six top-10 runners in the event with all 11 racers placing in the top-35 as they repeated their first place finish from a season. 

WHAT HAPPENED 

• Freshman Olivia Grahn raced in her first ever collegiate race and took the top spot with a 20:13.39 time 

• Natalie McFadden (third), Annalee Capuano (fourth), Milana Daiute (fifth), and Hannah Powell (sixth) all finished consecutively in the race. Sarah Lorenz followed her teammates at eight, rounding out the top-10 racers 

• Ella Walsh and Jennifer Tran placed 12th and 17th respectively. Oriah Diebold earned 25th in the race while Nyah Hyers took 33rd and Nina Ceccanecchio finished the Rams runner as she placed 35th 

• This is the second consecutive season that the Rams took first place in the Cross Classic as well as placing in the top-3 since 2021
