Rams Secure Fourth-Ever Perfect Conference Season

Dillan Sorino and Ava Brochon did their part to earn Jefferson its fifth shutout of the year

NEW CASTLE, Del. (Oct. 28, 2026) – Senior Dillan Sorino (Pennsauken, N.J. / Camden Catholic) scored the game's lone goal and freshman Ava Brochon (Bensalem, Pa. / The Pennington School) recorded a shutout as the Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer team defeated Wilmington University, 1-0, on Wednesday. In doing so, the Rams closed the 2026 regular season with a perfect CACC record.

It marks just the fourth time in program history and second time in the last three years the Rams have had a perfect season of conference games. The first time came before CACC sponsorship, and the second time came under Head Coach George Dunbar in 2011 -- with that team recently enshrined in the Jefferson Athletics Hall of Fame.

Sorino delivered the decisive finish at 20:45, giving Jefferson an advantage it maintained for the remainder of the afternoon. Brochon made all three of her saves before halftime, helping the Rams take their 1-0 lead into the break. Jefferson controlled play after halftime, holding a 12-2 advantage in shots while keeping Wilmington without a shot on goal. The Rams finished with a 21-8 edge in attempts, placed 11 shots on target and earned seven corner kicks.

Senior Evelin Ventura-Garcia (Philadelphia, Pa. / Esperanza Academy) paced Jefferson with five shots, followed by sophomore Annika Jurik (Phoenix, Ariz. / Desert Vista) with four. Senior Kyra Lesko (Pennsburg, Pa. / Upper Perkiomen) and freshman Kadence Decker (Chambersburg, Pa. / Chambersburg) each put both of their attempts on goal, keeping the pressure squarely on an overmatched Wildcats team.

Head Coach Michelle Jaquette and the Rams will now turn their attention to the CACC Postseason Tournament. First up for the top-seeded Rams will be No. 8 Felician University on Sunday, Nov. 1. Kickoff is scheduled for Noon.
