Rams Lights Out Against Felician, Advance to CACC Semis

Seniors Sophia Henry and Kyra Lesko delivered the offense for Jefferson

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (Nov. 1, 2026) – The Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer team advanced to the CACC Tournament semifinals with a 2-0 victory over eighth-seeded Felician University on Sunday at Ravenhill Field. The Rams extended their winning streak to 12 matches while successfully shutting out a CACC opponent for the sixth time this year.

Sunday's game also marked a repeat of the Rams' past meeting with Felician -- which also resulted in a 2-0 win, albeit in significantly different weather conditions.

Senior Sophia Henry (Deptford, N.J. / Deptford Township) opened scoring for the home team at 10:24, finishing off a corner kick with her head, sent in from freshman Tessa Hughes (Warrington, Pa. / Central Bucks South). Jefferson controlled the opening half, generating five shots and four corner kicks while holding the Golden Falcons without a single attempt.

Senior Kyra Lesko (Pennsburg, Pa. / Upper Perkiomen) doubled the lead at 54:04, converting a feed from sophomore Isa Geoghan (Hazlet, N.J. / Raritan). From there, the Rams continued to dictate play, producing nine second-half shots to finish with a 14-1 advantage and all six of the match's corner kicks. Whenever Felician appeared to have numbers, defenders Alexa Callahan (West Chester, Pa. / Bishop Shanahan) and Dillan Sorino (Pennsauken, N.J. / Camden Catholic) were there to run them down, ensuring a dearth of quality chances for the visitors.

Junior Carly Hayman (Pittsgrove, N.J. / A.P. Schalick) played all 90 minutes in goal to earn the shutout behind a Jefferson defense that did not allow a shot on target. Junior Jane DeVoll (Newark, Del. / Charter School of Wilmington) and senior Jamie Webb (Line Lexington, Pa. / North Penn) were equally as instrumental on the outside.

Head Coach Michelle Jaquette and the Rams will host fifth-seeded Chestnut Hill College in the CACC semifinals on Wednesday, November 4, at Ravenhill Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
