Devon Stroup joined Jefferson as assistant athletic trainer in June 2019. Stroup came to East Falls from the University of North Carolina, where she served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer.

Stroup resided in Chapel Hill from 2017-19 and primarily worked with UNC's men's and women's swimming & diving and women's lacrosse programs. She also assisted with the care of the Tar Heels' basketball teams as well as intramural and club sports coverage. Stroup evaluated and implemented rehabilitation programs for patients in the general campus population in the PT/AT clinic. She was the lead athletic training contact when UNC hosted the first and second rounds of the NCAA Women's Lacrosse Tournament.

A graduate of West Chester University, Stroup worked with the Golden Rams' field hockey program as an athletic training student. She assisted in implementing a evidence-based injury prevention dynamic mobility warm-up for the field hockey team and worked as a first aider for WCU club sports. Stroup implemented a day-long AT workshop and laid framework for sustainable mentorship program between WCU and local high school students to promote the profession.

Stroup also has experience as a physical therapist aide at In Motion Physical Therapy in Downingtown, Pa. She has Mental Health First Aid, Graston Technique, LGBTQA Ally and First Aid and CPR certifications.

A native of Oxford, Pa., Stroup received a bachelor's degree in athletic training from West Chester and a master's degree in exercise and sport science with a concentration in athletic training from North Carolina.
