Box Score Philadelphia, PA- Philadelphia University baseball (4-26, 2-12 CACC) dropped their home contest to Millersville University (31-8, 15-5 PSAC) 18-1 Friday at Alumni Field. Crossing the plate for PhilaU was sophomore second baseman Kevin Giambri.
Down by three runs in the bottom of the second inning, Giambri took first after being hit with one out. With a single up the middle from freshman catcher TJ Burgmann Giambri advances to second. Each runner would advance one, giving Giambri the opportunity the Rams were looking for. With a sacrifice fly off freshman utility John Szcepanski, Giambri made it home.
Millersville continued to turn up the heat with runners scoring in five of the remaining seven innings including homeruns from Bonadies and Heisey.
Sophomore Mike Ross took the loss for PhilaU on the mound after serving five innings. Junior Brian Clark was called in and was later relieved by sophomore Trevor Dority who got the last out for PhilaU.
PhilaU baseball hits the road again as the team packs up to face Felician College in a CACC doubleheader on Saturday (4/23).
