Baseball Splinters Against Wilmington, 10-1

Philadelphia, PA – The Philadelphia University baseball team (3-18, 2-6 CACC) was dealt a 10-1 loss to visiting #1 Wilmington University (24-3, 7-1 CACC). The lone run for PhilaU came from a walk off home run by senior shortstop Anthony DiFrancesco.

Hitting for PhilaU was freshman centerfielder Rick Reigner, senior catcher Matt Minakowski and sophomore outfielder Jordan Force who each had a hit for the maroon and grey.

The Rams found themselves trailing far as WU crossed as many as five runners to score in a single inning (fourth inning).

The Wildcats left 11 runners on base to PhilaU's eight.

On the mound, sophomore Jeffrey Bohus took the loss for the Rams while WU claimed the win with Treml.

The Rams will host Lock Haven on Thursday (4/7) for a double header starting at 2:00 p.m.
