Jefferson Earns Seventh Straight NCAA Presidents' Award, Ties For Third In Division II Academic Success Rate

INDIANAPOLIS – Thomas Jefferson University tied for third in Division II for Academic Success Rate (ASR) at 98 percent (2011-14) and claimed its seventh straight NCAA Presidents' Award for Academic Excellence.
 
Jefferson recorded a 98 percent ASR for the third consecutive year and achieved an ASR of at least 90 percent for the 14th time. It is the Rams' 10th overall NCAA Presidents' Award.
 
The Presidents' Award is given to schools that achieve a four-year ASR of 90 percent or higher. It is the 11th year of the program. The ASR is the percentage of student-athletes who graduate within six years of initial collegiate enrollment and includes virtually all Division II student-athletes, including transfers and those not receiving athletic scholarships.
 
Bentley University and Saint Michael's College (99 percent) tied for the top spot. Jefferson was matched by Hillsdale College and Biola University.
 
Ten of Jefferson's athletic programs had a perfect ASR of 100 percent including men's basketball, men's golf, men's and women's soccer, women's cross country/track & field, women's rowing, women's lacrosse, women's tennis, and women's volleyball. The CACC tied for third out of the 23 Division II conferences with an ASR of 84 percent, up two percent from last year.
