PHILADELPHIA - The fourth-seeded Thomas Jefferson University softball team had its season come to an end with a 9-5 loss to 13
th-seeded Chestnut Hill in the first round of the CACC Tournament on Thursday. The Rams finish with a 17-10 record.

GAMEPLAY
The teams combined for just one baserunner through the first two innings. Then, the Griffins jumped on the Rams for four runs in the third. Chestnut Hill benefitted from an error, an RBI single, a run-scoring double, and another RBI base hit.

Jefferson got on the board in the bottom of the third when
Dallas Urban doubled in
Sage Bolonski, who led off the frame with a walk. After a scoreless fourth and fifth, the Griffins upped their lead to seven (8-1) with four more runs in the sixth on a three-run double and an RBI base hit.

The Rams countered with four runs of their own in the bottom of the sixth.
Julia Heine drove in
Winnai Hoyt with a single then scored on
Ellie Egher's base hit.
Victoria Juckniewitz later doubled in a pair of runs to make it 8-5.

After Chestnut Hill drew a bases-loaded walk in the seventh to make the score 9-5, Jefferson put two runners on in its final at-bat but could not push across any more runs.
