WATERBURY, Conn. – The Thomas Jefferson University baseball team (15-15, 6-7 CACC) came back to take the nightcap and earn a doubleheader split at Post in conference action on Saturday.
GAME ONE – L, 11-4
The Rams got on the board first via a wild pitch in the opening frame. The Eagles came back with three runs in their half of the first. They posted an RBI single, a bases-loaded walk, and a sacrifice fly.
Post broke it open with a five-run third to make it 8-1. The Eagles recorded a pair of RBI singles and a three-run double. Both teams pushed two runs across in the fourth and the score was 10-3.
Josh Lopez doubled in a pair for the Rams but Post answered with back-to-back RBI doubles. In the sixth, Jefferson plated a run on a groundout while the Eagles smacked a solo homer.

GAME TWO – W, 12-2
The Eagles went ahead early with an RBI single in the first. The Rams evened it up in the third, capitalizing on a Post error. Jefferson jumped in front with a three-run fourth.
Ryan Coyle drew a bases-loaded walk and two runs came home on another miscue by the Eagles.
The Rams pulled away with six runs in the fifth to make it 10-1.
Arturo Figueroa doubled in a run,
Zack Austin bashed a two-run homer,
Justin Espinal brought a run home with a base hit, and
Ryan Sawyer plated two with a double. Jefferson tacked on two more in the seventh via a sacrifice fly and an error to up the margin to 11 (12-1).
Post managed to score one final run in the bottom of the seventh with a two-out RBI double but
Mike DellaPolla finished off the complete-game victory for Jefferson.
