PHILADELPHIA – Thomas Jefferson University women's golf student-athlete Kinley Lingenfelter was selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Women's At-Large Third Team, the organization announced on Wednesday.

Lingenfelter is the Rams' second Academic All-American this year, joining Antonin Kemkeng who was named to the third team in men's basketball in March. It is the second time in school history that Jefferson has produced multiple Academic All-Americans in one academic year, with three being selected in 2014-15. Overall, Lingenfelter is the 11th Academic All-American for the Rams and the first in the sport of women's golf.

The Academic All-America program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have completed one full calendar year at his/her current institution and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or higher, among other criteria.

Lingenfelter took first place in 19 events over her career, including three this year. She posted an average of 82.1 in 2021-22, which was second on the team. Of her 38 career rounds, Lingenfelter scored in the 70s 19 times. She owns the school records for lowest scoring average in a season and best 18-hole score (73, twice). A recipient of the 2021-22 Jefferson Chancellor's Award, Lingenfelter was previously named to the 2018-19 Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Women's At-Large Team.
