PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The Thomas Jefferson University baseball team (3-5) dropped a pair of contests at Pace (5-1) on Sunday afternoon.
GAME ONE – L, 9-2
The Setters scored on an RBI groundout in the first inning to go ahead 1-0. They added a two-run double in the second to go up three. An RBI single in the third followed by an RBI single and a bases-loaded walk in the fourth made it 6-0 Pace. The Setters' final runs came in the fifth on another free pass with the bases loaded and a two-run single.
The Rams struggled to score, leaving nine men on base during the contest.
Griffin Wittenberg broke the shutout bid with a two-run home run in the top of the seventh.

GAME TWO – L, 4-1
Pace tallied a run in the opening frame again, this time on a fielder's choice. Both teams recorded a run in the third.
Diego Santiago led off the inning with a home run to left center and the Setters countered with a sacrifice fly. Pace added an RBI single and a run-scoring double in the fourth to make the score 4-1. After scoring in the third, Jefferson left five runners on base over the last four frames and could not catch up.
