FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Thomas Jefferson University men's tennis team (9-1) had its nine-match win streak come to an end with a 4-3 defeat at Queens (4-2) on Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Knights earned the victory at third doubles before the Rams evened it up with a win at the top doubles flight. Queens clinched the doubles points with a 7-5 triumph at the second spot. The Knights took a 2-0 lead by winning second singles but Jefferson got victories from
Hubert Theriault (first singles) and
Jules Thibault (third singles) to tie the match at two apiece. Queens bounced back and claimed fourth and fifth singles to put the match out of reach for the Rams.
