Jefferson Tennis Teams Has Six Players Make ITA Rankings in Singles/Doubles
TEMPE, AZ - Nicole Hrbkova was ranked 12th in singles according to the ITA rankings, while her and Alycia Veroux were ranked 9th in doubles for women's tennis. Men's tennis had four players rank for singles. Mario Antonio was ranked 5th, Anthony Moukarzel ranked 6th, Antonio Mateos Melenchon ranked 15th, and Jules Thibault was ranked 17th.
Hrbkova began her season winning her first six singles matches and continued to go 10-3 for the remainder of most of her matches being in the second position. She went 5-2 in conference play, going 8-2 in the second position.
Veroux and Hrbkova were ranked 9th in doubles after going 9-4 this season. Veroux was also named to the All-CACC First Team after having an 11-3 season, most of which coming in as the first position. She had a 6-1 conference record, going 8-3 in the first position.
Antonio was ranked 5th in singles ITA rankings this year after going 6-2. Antonio competed in the ITA Regionals going 3-1 after facing defeat in the Quarterfinal match to the ITA East Region runner up. He also competed in the Saint Joseph's Invitational going 2-1, also losing in Quarterfinals.
Moukarzel was ranked 6th in ITA rankings completing a 7-2 season in singles play. Moukarzel competed in the ITA Regionals going 3-1 falling behind in the Quarterfinal match to the ITA East Region Champion. He also competed in the Saint Joseph's Invitational going 2-1, dropping the Semifinal match.
Mateos was ranked 15th in singles according to the ITA rankings after going 4-2 this season. He went 2-1 in the ITA Regionals after dropping to the round of 16.
Thibault was ranked 17th in singles for ITA rankings going 2-2 this season. Thibault competed in the ITA Regionals but dropped to the round of 64. He also competed in the Saint Joseph's Invitational going 1-1, losing in the Quarterfinals.
The men's and women's tennis teams will now prepare for their 2025 spring season.
