Baseball Rallies in Game Two; Splits Second Doubleheader with Southern New Hampshire
PHILADELPHIA – Gabe Silva came into the fifth inning to pitch and helped hold down the Penmen to no scores. In the bottom of the seventh with the bases loaded, all tied up, and holding two outs, Silva drove it down to shortstop where a fumbled ball allowed Joshua Lopez to make it home and complete a 7-0 comeback and earn an 8-7 win in game two. This helped Thomas Jefferson University baseball team (3-3) split their second doubleheader of the day against Southern New Hampshire (6-6). The Rams dropped the first game to the Penmen 9-4 in game one.

The Rams kept the score the same from the top of the seventh, getting all three batters out and setting themselves for a comeback in the bottom of the final inning.
The bases were loaded from three singles by Chris McLean, Isaac Sherril, and Justin Egner, putting Joshua Lopez as the game-winning run at homeplate. A walk for Jos. Lopez and two straight hit-by-pitches towards Diego Santiago and Al. Gonzalez evened the game at 7-7 with the winning run now on third. After Wood struck out swinging, Silva got to plate as he looked to get the Rams the win. With two outs and a full count, Silva hit the ball to the shortstop.
